Choose either 3 fabrics that match the colors on the cover of the book or 3 fabrics that fit the theme of the book and use a background fabric to create harmony with all of the blocks you make. 

Using traditional piecing, the Beloved Quilt Block will help you creatively record your favorite books with a design that is based on a traditional quilt block, the Sawtooth Star. Inside the Sawtooth Star is a pieced heart composed of half-square triangles and flying geese. This pattern uses time-saving methods to piece the block, such as the Magic 8 Half-Square triangle method. The quilt block finishes at 6" square, meaning the quilt block, once incorporated into a quilt, will measure 6" x 6".

This paper pattern provides full color instructions to make this book-inspired quilt. It is a pattern great for a confident beginner who is ready to work with some small pieces.
