Historians believe that the first instruments were used in rituals and for signaling when a hunt was successful. The widespread creativity of humanity can be seen through the independent development of musical instruments of different peoples and civilizations throughout the world.

I love the idea of using a traditional quilt block in a non-traditional way. The Melody Quilt Block embodies the musical journey that humans have taken by mixing the classic Ohio Star block with a piano key center. It includes half-square triangles and strip piecing. The quilt block finishes at 6" square, meaning the quilt block, once incorporated into a quilt, will measure 6" x 6".

This paper pattern provides full color instructions to make this quilt block. It is a pattern great for a confident beginner or even a beginner.

About the paper pattern:

Available as a physical paper copy which will be mailed to you.

Do not copy, sell, or distribute without written consent.

You are welcome to sell the items you have made using this pattern as a small independent seller.
